How we check the rules
Every date, threshold and penalty on this site comes from an official UAE source, is recorded with a link and a check date, and is reviewed whenever the rules change.
Official sources only
We use the Ministry of Finance (which runs the e-invoicing programme), the Federal Tax Authority, the Emirates News Agency for official announcements, and OpenPeppol for the technical standard. We read the decisions themselves, not summaries by software vendors or advisers. Short quotes and links for every rule are kept in a rules file for each topic, and each page lists its main sources.
Dated
Each page shows when its rules were last checked (currently 23 October 2026). The Ministry of Finance has amended the e-invoicing decisions several times since 2025, so we check its e-invoicing page and news regularly and update the site when a new decision is published.
Open questions are flagged, not guessed
When the official texts don’t answer a question, or contradict each other, the page says so. For example, the Ministry’s October 2026 presentation refers to a new penalties decision whose text we could not find, so the penalties page shows the last published amounts with a warning.
Spotted a mistake?
Rules change. If something here is out of date, the official source linked on each page always takes priority.
